Camp NaNoWriMo Winner!!!

I did it!!!! 40,000 words in 29 days!!! Woohoo!!

So, so, so pleased with myself. Would totally recommend Camp to anyone. Much better than having to wait until November, and you get to be in a cabin with up to ten other writers. There's still all the same cool NaNo stuff going on, and best of all you can set your own goal, it's not the flat 50k it is in Nov. So it's brilliant!! :D 40k is such a huge achievement, and as I started my novel before Camp I have nearly 50k already, first draft not far off. Hoping to finish it before June, and then have a first edit on a beach in June!

Many thanks to the supportive, chatty people in my cabin - you know who you are. And huge congratulations to all other winners!!! And to participants too, it's such a wonderful thing to be part of, it's not really about how much you write, as long as you're writing, happy days! :)

The Keepers of the Keys is well under way, watch this space everyone. There will be more than one book in this series. Hoping to complete book one this year, and then hopefully get a first draft, or very least a good chunk of the next book down. Role on July :D.
