It details the journeys of Amelia, Tabitha, Rin and Diggory as the poor souls suddenly trapped in the eternal grey, wondering if one of the many doors will ever lead to a way out. The reader is teased with snippets from the character's past, present and future until you can’t help yourself but find a quiet nook and read on and on. Duffy’s writing style makes you feel like you are stuck right there in Futurespan with them. A brilliant first fantasy novel and can’t wait for Duffy’s next one!"

The characters seem real and you feel their fear and joy and sadness.The story goes back and forth from present to past, future and Futurespan.
